CSIR NET 2023: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently issued a notification for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) National Eligibility Test (NET) for the December 2022/June 2023 cycle. Online applications are now being accepted for CSIR UGC NET 2023 in various subjects, including Chemical Sciences, Earth/Atmosphere/Ocean/Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences. Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official website csirnet.nta.nic.in, starting from March 10, 2023.                          The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to organize the Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination for December 2022 / June 2023. This examination aims to assess the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) as well as for Lectureship (LS) or Assistant Professor positions in Indian universities and colleges. The examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode on June 6, 7, and 8, 2023.

  • To check the CSIR UGC NET 2023 result, candidates can follow the step-by-step instructions provided below:

    Step 1: Go to the official website of CSIR NET – csirnet.nta.nic.in
    Step 2: Locate and click on the ‘Joint CSIR UGC NET June 2023 Score Card’ link.
    Step 3: Enter the required information, including your application number, date of birth, and the security pin displayed in the image.
    Step 4: Click on the “Submit” button.
    Step 5: The CSIR NET result and scorecard will be displayed on the screen. You can view and download them for future reference.

Examination Pattern

The CSIR NET 2023 Question Paper will consist of three sections: Part A, Part B, and Part C.

Part A is common to all subjects and will contain a maximum of 20 questions on General Aptitude. Candidates are required to answer any 15 questions, with each question carrying two marks. This section is allocated a total of 30 marks out of 200.

CSIR NET Part A evaluates candidates’ teaching/research aptitude, reasoning ability, comprehension skills, divergent thinking, and general awareness.

CSIR NET Part B and Part C include subject-specific questions chosen by candidates from the following five subjects: Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean, and Planetary Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.
